Meet the Overjoyed Mom

Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a bit more about me. I am a proud Navy wife of 16+ years and a mother to four gorgeous children (1 boy and 3 girls). I recently completed my formal education with a Ph.D. in Higher Education and am now pursuing my life’s purpose of helping other women make the most of their lives.

In 2012, my family and I returned to the US after a 3 year duty station in Sicily, Italy. We LOVED our time overseas and enjoyed everything about the different cultures, foods, and experiences. However, when we returned to the States, my husband was immediately put on a deployment schedule and deployed after less than 2 months of being stateside. The first year in this new duty station he was gone 270+ days. It was rough.

I found myself struggling in every area of my life. I was overwhelmed with school work (I had just started my Ph.D. program), I was a “single” parent of two, and I started to lose myself, so I turned to food for comfort and found myself depressed and anxious.

Five months later when my husband returned from deployment in the winter of 2012, I was miserable. I had gained 10lbs and felt gross about myself and couldn’t even look in a mirror. I hated myself in every shape and form. One day, my daughter spilled water on the floor and immediately started to cry and apologize profusely. It broke my heart that she was so terrified of how I would respond. And it was in that moment that I drew a line in the sand and made the decision to make myself a priority.

I began working out, eating right, reading personal development, and really filling up my cup. As I began to spend time focusing on myself, the rest of my life changed. I became a better wife, a better mom, I was able to better manage my time, my finances, and I got my priorities right. As I made these small changes, I began to inspire others to do the same.

Now as a Mentor for moms, I love being about to teach moms how to thrive in life and business with ease. You can really have it all!

Motherhood is complicated; but your life and business don’t have to be!

I can’t wait to meet you!
